About:

SplitZing was founded out of personal necessity. It emerged from the desire to make sense of a life that felt overwhelming, chaotic, and disconnected.

1. Who I Am and Who I Am Not:
I am not a psychologist, academic, or mindfulness expert. Nor am I someone who has led a perfect life.

I am a 52-year-old dedicated mindfulness learner, father to three teenagers, husband, entrepreneur, and manager. I have led teams and started multiple businesses—with more failures than successes. Fortunately, one successful venture allowed me to dedicate myself full-time to my true passion: building SplitZing, a journey I’ve been committed to for the past three years.

2. The Problem I Faced:
Two fundamental aspects shaped my life:

  • The Illusion of Forced Unity: I lived believing we had to either force our way or sacrifice ourselves to connect. Every day became an exhausting dance between accepting others’ views, rejecting them, or compromising my own truth to find middle ground.

  • Stuck Attention: My attention was trapped in an endless loop of thoughts, emotions, and stories that kept replaying in my mind, causing me to experience suffering or fleeting pleasure without any sense of power or control.

These fundamentals caused constant swings between suffering and joy. My thoughts and emotions swung like a pendulum—from anger, worry, and hopelessness to moments of joy and ecstasy—leaving me exhausted, unsteady, and yearning for something deeper.

3. The Breakthrough:
Understanding my relationship with thoughts and emotions has been a central part of my life journey, though not always successfully. I've explored my inner world through books, meditation, therapy, and reflective practices. Over the past three years, I had the privilege of dedicating myself fully to introspection, immersing deeply in mindfulness and exploring my inner world. When I discovered the concept of emergent properties and learned how to weave it into mindfulness, my daily life, and my relationships, my old belief system collapsed, making space for a new and transformative one.

New Fundamentals:
  • Belief in Emergent Properties: No one needs to change. We can accept others as they are, without sacrifice. I believe that a greater purpose is born when we connect with opposing perspectives. Rather than directing energy toward acceptance or rejection, I focus on interconnection to create something greater. When we truly accept each other as we are and hold a genuine intention to connect, something meaningful and transformative naturally emerges.

  • Freed Attention: While thoughts, stories, and emotions still arise, my attention is no longer trapped in them. Using attention and imagination as tools, I learned to interconnect thoughts and emotions in new ways, allowing them to combine into something greater through emergent properties. Instead of fighting against my thoughts and emotions, I created what I call “power layers” within myself, where they could interact and transform. This internal practice became my liberation; rather than being trapped in mental loops, I could orchestrate these elements into harmonious networks, each contributing to a deeper sense of peace and creativity. The very mental elements that once imprisoned me became building blocks for inner wisdom when properly interconnected.

I feel happier and experience more peace and joy. I find it easier to improve negative situations because I’m more relaxed. Being in a relaxed state brings clarity, creativity, and courage.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Vision for SplitZing:

Emergent properties are fundamental phenomena that shape life, nature, and consciousness. They can be thought of as the formula underlying existence itself. In our divided world, I believe the next step in human evolution will come from harnessing these emergent properties. Here’s my vision:

First, by creating emergent properties within ourselves, we can transcend the limitations of mere thoughts and emotions. Through interconnected layers and spaces formed by the integration of thoughts, emotions, and tactile sensations, we can access new inner strength. These internal structures will foster a sense of relaxation and peace, enabling deeper self-connection and heightened awareness. This alignment will spark creativity, lead to wiser decisions, and promote more skillful ways of engaging with life. And this is just the beginning.

Second, I envision creating intelligent spaces between us, and I am eager to explore this idea. These spaces would enable us to be our authentic selves, free from the need to force or sacrifice. Their purpose would be to facilitate natural interconnection, giving rise to an emergent property of unity. We could simply relax, be genuine, and respect one another, trusting that true interconnectedness will emerge through these intelligent layers while we remain true to who we are.

Just as mushrooms in nature are connected through a vast mycelium network, sharing collective intelligence, we too can create spaces that foster connection and unity. If mushrooms can achieve this remarkable level of collaboration, so can we.

This vision fills me with excitement. I imagine a future where we are no longer isolated individuals but interconnected beings, discovering shared purposes through our connections while staying true to ourselves. This interconnected space, as an emergent property generating new insights, could represent the next phase of human evolution—a vision I hope SplitZing can help realize.

I invite you to join me on this journey into the unknown, with the potential for groundbreaking discoveries—or at least the satisfaction of striving for something better that makes life more fulfilling and enjoyable.
